SXSW Sydney Play SmellScape- A tabletop game for your nose!

SmellScape is a playful and interactive tabletop game that invites players—both kids and adults—on a journey into the mysterious world of scent. Entering nose-first, players will be guided by scent experts: perfumer Jocelyn Fullerton, interdisciplinary artist Cat Jones , writer Natalie Toren and experience designer Tammy Burnstock to sniff and explore a series of surprising aromas, test their noses by guessing each scent, and share their own smell memories in a collaborative, story-driven experience. As the game unfolds, players expand their scent vocabulary, engage in lively discussions, and contribute to a collective poem, weaving together personal and shared associations.

More than just a game, SmellScape highlights the power of scent in memory, communication, and creativity, offering a fun and unexpected way to engage the senses.

This will be a relaxed low tech participatory presentation. Above all, an opportunity to talk things smelly, with presenters who live and breathe scent in a variety of its glorious forms.

Whether you’re a tabletop enthusiast or new to olfactory play, this experience will have you thinking—and smelling—differently.
