Invincible Summer was a group exhibition exploring climate consciousness and the shifting meanings of shared memories. Tammy Burnstock produced fragrances that juxtaposed evolving associations of familiar aromas—such as the transformation of fire from a symbol of communal gatherings to one of fear, due to recent bushfires. Presented at the Incinerator Gallery, this sensory experience features three primary fragrances: Capgras, an Australian bushfire, and coconut sun-tan lotion, with a harmonizing overlay of a custom ‘scent of hope’. This project facilitates deeper audience engagement, invoking nostalgia and contemplation.
